Amaroo Park should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sad to think that an Aussie Legend gets more respect, support and admiration from Europe and America

I think Repco still contribute to the upkeep of the '66 World Championship Winning Brabham.

Make no mistake Jack was much appreciated during his World Championship winning years. He won the ABC Sportsman of the Year in '66 (against all those footballers, cricketers and tennis players) He was Knighted and has been awarded the AO.

They only people who don't seem to recognise him are the clowns at Australian Grand Prix Corporation - but the AGP really isn't about motor racing...is it?

You're right Amaroo, it is a bit sad, but when you consider he was living in the UK for such a long period of time when he was achieving all the things he did it's hardly surprising.
I'm not saying it's right - it isn't. It's typical of what we do in Australia to a lot of our high achievers.
It's usually not until after they've gone that we realise how great their acheivments have been
I could rattle off a whole list of names beginning with Howard Florey

I really enjoyed the programme and thought it was very done well. A champion driver, brilliant engineer, astute businessman, a real gentelman and an Aussie larrikin all in one!

Years ago i was at a CAMS State Champions presentation dinner and Sir Jack was the special guest. What I loved was seeing all the newly crowned State Champions casting aside their egos and queing up to get an autograph from a living legend.
