I certainly hope not, the RBRs are really taking it to Ferrari and Merc. However, as we all know practice doesn’t always tell the full story

No likely penalty though as he has a serviceable one 'in the bank'. According to Horner.

Both Red Bull drivers looking quick, as was expected really. This will be Verstappen's final chance to break the record of the youngest ever F1 pole sitter. A record that will probably never ever be broken due to the new F1 licence rules.

I'm guessing there will some sort of issue for Ricciardo come qualifying. Or, Ricciardo's tyre pressures will be 'fine tuned' to suit the... opportunity??

So after second free practice everyone was destroying tyres and there were lots of worried people as they all seem to have opted for mainly Hypersofts.....but today the temperature dropped markedly after overnight rain, and everyone is setting much lower times.......


Still a bit topsy turvy, with Max quickest in all 3 FPs, tho Lewis scraped into second on the 3rd FP, having been 7th in the second....


But Bottas stopped at the trackside with "hydraulic problems"......


Qualy may be interesting.......

I'm not buying that conspiracy theory.

I have to admit though that Horner was not as thrilled as he could/should have been.
I'm quite sure he has a personnal preference at the moment, but I'm equally convinced that he won't "sabotage" his other driver just to obtain a pole for Max.

After all, he want to maximize the chances to get a win tomorrow. Even if he would prefer Max to win it, a win for Daniel would still be better than no win at all.

I agree. On performance alone he surely deserved it, but in a way I'm glad Ricciardo got it instead.
