Car or Bike ?

Anyone here got experience of driving cars AND riding bikes on trackdays ? Which one do you prefer, and why ?

I have only experienced driving a car on a track doing a racing school and I thoroughly enjoyed doing that, however, it was a long time ago.

When you marshal you get to drive round the track for free although you do have to keep to the track speed limit. On that point those of you who marshal for both cars and bikes which do you prefer and why?

Bikes for sure, the thrill factor is higher, especially if you get out of shape and save it,although if you want to be really fussy a sidecar beats them both!

I haven't driven a car on a track day but the bike at the old now defunct Amaroo Park was a hoot. Even if it rained solidly all day.

CAR With Out Question!!!!!!

I have ridden a bike round Brands Hatch a GSX1300R to be exact and also driven a new Mitsubshi EV0 VII Extreme and the fun factor was unreal in both cases but. There is no better feeling than drifting a 340BHP EVO round paddock hill bend.

I've been around Eastern Creek Raceway; Sydney. The car was great fun BUT nothing compared to the bike. The exhilaration of the bike cranked over knee down can never be matched by 4 wheels.

GSR, The only time your knee hit the ground was when you crashed.

With no side streets or on coming traffic, a track day is the ultimate for any bike rider. Give me two wheels, all day.

We all know that 2 wheels are better than 4, but can I ask, Riding with or without a helmet, which is preferable? Moffman, I would like your input.

Nice line Izinbard. Pass this photo on to GSR, it may help him over come his Kneeackraphobia.
For those who don't know what Kneeackraphobia is, it is the fear of placing your knee on the ground.

GSR, I am struggling to see the funny side of your accusations.
