Think it looks like one of the 2003 cars Craig, going by the splitter really at the front.

Doesn't seem to be a Turkish - English translator easily available on the web - anyone here actually know Turkish at all ?

It could also be an older car with an updated newer aero kit though?

Peter Mallet very kindly arranged for one of his people to translate the article for us:

Quote:
2004 Turkey Brands Course Champion Opel Performance Turkey is ready for 2005 and starts the season with Pinarbasi Race with 2 cars, targeting a new championship. Astra BTCT and Group 1600 Corsa will participate the race. Yvan Muller (2004 UK Touring Champion) is coaching Erkut Kizilirmak who will drive Astra BTCT that was prepared in UK and designed by Triple Eight. Muller shared his experience in 282 hp Astra BTCT with Opel Performance Team. Erkut Kizilirmak tested the car. The other driver will be Ahmet Cemil Çipa. He raced with Opel Vectra last year and this time he will represent his team in Group 1600. The race will take place on 17/04/2005 at 13:00 in Izmir Pinarbasi.
Many thanks, Peter, and especially to Ozlem Kaya if they are reading!

Excellent, thanks Peter, and Ozlem Kaya

km - could well be but if I'm correct in thinking this most independant Astras race in the BTCC have retained their aero kit.

Hi Craig.

That's the car Ivan used last season. Full translation can be found at:

What are some of Opel's competition? I get the impression the Maxi division where the Astra is racing in is like an open class where almost any car can race?
