Walker

Chris Walker has at last signed a deal to ride for Harald Eckl's Kawasaki World SuperBike team, about time I say!

Now he can prove he is as good as the WSBK boys at all circuits. Maybe he can give the 750cc some more wins. Soon they will be 1000cc too. Or at least, the BSBK V4's will be!

Chris just needs to put 2001 down to experience. 500ccs probably weren't a good choice for him, his buidl and style don't really suit the things, Sueprbikes are his game and we've seen in the British round of the World Championship that he knows what he's doing.

Aren't the 1000cc V4's in the British series next year only going to be production Superbikes, not full superbikes, that is what we had in Australia in 99 and 2000, production Superbikes, like the Suzuki GSXR-1000 vs the FIM spec Superbikes, and the FIM bikes won.

On Walker, good to see him with a ride next year. With the 750s losing 5kg, he and Izutsu could be in the title hunt, or at least for a few victories.

I reckon Izutsu, Walker, Pitt and Serizawa on MotoGP bikes in 2003 for Kawasaki.

stalker on the green machine

at last, the Stalker gets a ride, Back it in boy!

seems some speculation on who's gonna get the GP1 ride next year tho.

Several riders have spoken about promised rides, Pitt, Yanagawa (although reading the Kawasaki racing site it seems he's doing the R&D work but maybe not racing it!) Izutzu (sp?) Stalker, and Eric Bostrom who's on the kwak again next year.

Possible that the Eckl Team is run side by side with an official full works team, with Eckl getting the same bikes and support but funded seperately??? dunno, just looking forward to the big green bus parking it sideways under Hodgson! (and Haga??)
