Epsilon should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
FYI: Monaco replay on ABC today...

After the Indy 500, at 3:30 pm EDT today, ABC will be showing the Monaco GP. I'm not sure, but I think this might be Bernievision.

Well, I'm watching the prerace now, and I'm confused to whether this is the coverage of Monaco or an infomercial for Red Bull.

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed.

*Snore* God, I NEVER thought I'd say that I missed David Hobbes.

Tyhe Red Bull infomercial was Godawful. The interview between Bernie and Danny Sullivan was as baddly miked as a Robert Altman Movie. I thought Bernie was eying the refreshments just off camera because he sure wasn't present at the interview.

Danny Sullivan.

Good driver.

Lousy reporter.

Leave it to the pros, Danny. Lord knows we need the work!

Red Bull must've been paying for the whole damn broadcast!

A neghbor taped the Indy 500 for me yesterday, and after it was over, there was about 30 min of the Monaco race on the tape, and yes, wasn't the infomercial aspect just terrible? (along with the silly bit with the wind surfer guy chatting up Bernoldi? and going out for a moto-ski "race".)
Now, after saying that, it was interesting to see some non-Bernievision footage, from before the race to the actual race footage. For instance, the camera set up at the end of the tunnel was shooting straight up the tunnel, as the live stuff was shot from more of the exit of the chicane afterwards. I was quite surprised as I thought that there would have only been one group of tv cameras set up, that being the one that I thought "we" all saw.
Does this mean that US viewers saw only this version, those who do not have The Speed Channel?

I watched my first F1 race since Silverstone of last year on ABC yesterday, and I have to congratulate ABC for showing the race. The coverage, in my opinion, was fantastic (I'm assuming they picked up the Eurosport coverage) and I loved the fact that they had Ben Edwards and John Watson commentating on the race.

The commentary was awesome, because #1, Edwards does the BTCC also and I had never heard him until yesterday, and #2, Wattie used to do the BTCC and I like his comments on things. For example I didn't notice the smoke from Coulthard's car until Wattie pointed it out.

I have to admit that Danny Sullivan's reporting was pretty weak. I give him credit because he tried but he sounded rehearsed and uncomfortable in front of the camera. Otherwise, thanks for showing the race, ABC!!!!
