Peter, which Escy was that? The full story of your Masters race is still un-revealed... All that I do know is that the Broadspeed XJC blew it's engine, causing chaos. Guess that means it won't be at Portimao either.

It was the Morgan SLR I was due to take, sadly now in need of extensive work after an accident testing on Thursday.

Anyway gives me bit longer to get Nsu sorted an running correct for next year.... Try an get the kugelfischer injection on it at some point but kinda need it to keep its bottom end intact for longer than 40 mins.

Before we start on the other grp2 tourer we have hidden away.

Just checked the long-term forecast for Algarve and it is all the way. Fortunately (from a racing perspective) the daytime temp will drop from the 33C it is at the moment to a more civilised 23C by race weekend.

Hopefully the forecasts for the area are more reliable than Northern Europe.

One more car to be loaded at end of week and am good to go. Most importantly fridge is re-stocked with beer and rest of supply confirmed as 'adequate'. Thrown in a couple of bottles of water for journey down....

Just had a message from the Rowley/Bell convoy. They're south of Le Mans, so probably only about a thousand miles to go. It's Mike's birthday today, by the way.

Has anyone seen any entry lists anywhere. Word is that some grids are struggling but its probably gossip. Lets hope the event works well. Any info appreciated.

Not generally well promoted or advertised so you have to piece bits of information together. E.g check out the Motor Racing Legends entries on their website http://www.motorracinglegends.com/in...?subj=Calendar

Might be other lists somewhere else.

Entries

Hi everyone,

I believe this racing series usually don't show the entries before the weekend.

I am living in the Algarve, today was 23º and good weather but is not looking good Friday.

For what I know there are 2 races with more than 30 cars and overal more than 200 entries in the weekend. Not bad for a chaging year in what organization is concern.

In the IGD - Portimao race I already have 25 cars and still counting.. The entries are open until Thrusday and I hope more people keep changing the Thrusday Testing for a real cheap extra race in the weekend with the "locals". For more info mail racereadypt@gmail.com

Regards
Diogo Ferrão

Hi all and thanks for birthday wishes. First year they held meeting a week earlier so celebrated properly that time!

Just endured 24hrs of almost constant rain that hopefully has now passed. Supposed to be free practice at 0900- may need headlamps. Managed to wash truck in the rain at least, clothes now dry again but down one pair of trainers!

Delta went to take away to get pizzas last night and tried to carry them back under seat of scooter.........

No wifi so short update by phone. Apologies for any typos!

Sun has been out and track surface warmed up. Not much grip first thing on cold damp tarmac.....

You all have fun down there ... I'll be cruising up the M40 in the fog tomorrow morning to watch the boys and girls at play at HSCC Finals, and generally being grumpy 'cos my season finished back in July! Roll on 2013, and if Santa would be very nice and bring me a refinanced budget, I'd love to have enough left by Autumn to come and play in Portimao one day ...

Should get a Lambretta, I've got a 14" triple ddep pan rear rack ( otherwise known as a spare wheel holder . . which will also comfortably carry a jerry can . . . or a case/barrel of ale

enjoy!

Whatever sort of Lambretta have you got, Joe.... a barrel is 36 gallons. Might make it oversteer somewhat.

No doubt Gordon could arrange appropriate trials.

Actually, thinking about it, a Lambretta with a full barrel of ale on the rear rack would be more likely to understeer, as I doubt its intrepid rider would be able to keep the front wheel on the ground.

correct clive . . . a minipin either end is better

with snacks in the middle . . . of course, the old Bambini sidecar is quite capable of carrying the load . . . and a pump, and mini bar . . . now there's an idea. . .

Hey you lot, stop talking about bleeding scooters! Am sure it will be sorted for next year or we will borrow someone's hire car like ŵe did last year.

Proper sunshine today, and just finished my first race with 4th o/a and first in class. Beat the Momo Escort in a straight fight........

Iain had clutch rod problems in his 22 during free practice but sorted for qualifying. Not sure where he is on list as he is in VIP lounge watching footy! Martin has changed his top gear ratio twice so far- so hopefully he will be happy now.
