2015 apparently, quite how they equate the differences will be fun to see. Although by then, much of the Project Blueprint hardware would have had a hard life, and may be looking for renewal...

Scrut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Did Alex Davo slow to get brother Will into 3rd in the championship, or did Will do it on track?

Could make for 'Frosty' relations between Frost and Alex in the FPR extended family next year.

Agreed, awesome car speed, but equally awesome car control. It was DeJa Vu for Mr Dane, in so far as his throw away comments about SVG's strategy to stay out and not follow RB's early pit stops, turned out to be the right call and there was nothing that JW could do to hold SVG's charge back up from 4th on much fresher rubber, a masterstroke as it turned out.

you mean roland make a strategic error, surely that cant happen, Roland is perfect. Well that what a number of posters would suggest

If he made one here, then maybe he made one at the Gold Coast when he double stacked Craig

Knew I wouldn't find any post where a poster suggested that Dane was perfect. Hope that your not suggesting that where a poster said that he believed Dane made a good call is your version of as you said " a number of posters suggesting Dane is perfect"
Good old Peckstar, the king of exaggeration

If you want to have this discusion go to the Gold Coast thread and quote the appropriate posts and stop discusing off topic discusions

Well, there I was, catch up on several pages thinking it must have been a good race, but find it's just a load of picky semantics. Enough, guys, it's been good around here for a while, don't spoil it.

I went to the Saturday race, some random thoughts on it;

- Seemed to be a much better 'buzz' around the place than in 2012, the weather obviously helping, and the crowd seemed better too compared to last year.

- If you can get to the right places, viewing isn't bad at all (other than the awful catch-fencing to spoil the photo's), especially at the chicanes around the train station.

- Nice to see some of the merchandise sellers stayed open until after the end of the Saturday race

- Be nice to see abit more shady area's put up, particularly around Cathy Freeman Park where alot of people sat down for lunch, there are only so many Red Bull umbrella tables there. I would start on the price of food ($9 for burger with only chicken and lettuce on it..) but that is a problem everywhere obviously.

Finally, i know the race finished later, but can we have the Saturday night concert back!

There is no 'nightlife' in Homebush, after the race finished some (but not many) retired to the "The Brewery", but the majority just wandered to the station and by 8.30pm the precinct was pretty settled.
