That was the difference with Peter McKay, at least he had the nuts to write negative things about Cocko and the series. At least Peter had knowledge of car racing and would write what he thought, not what he was told to. |

No, Mr McKay wrote the antithesis of anything positive or anything good to say about V8Supercar. His agenda is poisonous....

Keeping the V8 formula is probably the easiest thing to do. An awful lot of equalization would need to be done if say Holden moved to a V6, Ford used a turbocharged ecoboost, Volvo used a inline 5 diesel, ect, ect. Can you imagine how much *****ing and moaning would occur up and down pitlane if this happened. Would also stop the manufacturers having to put coin down to develop the new engines.

Well why wouldnt he write (antihesis) that is your big word, I am obviously not as smart as you although I am am sure I am, I dont even read the dribble that Phelps writes.(that proves I am smarter). I certainly know who I would like on my side in a situation, Phelps, McKay or you and I am sure I would rather McKay, at least he has balls and says what he thinks. |

Now that TC is gone, much of the catty waspishness of Mr. MKay's previous reporting on V8's has gone and he's publishing a more balanced approach. |

Mr McKay's answer seems to be to build yet another category for turbo engines... Here

Who supplied the figures?
Remember also if you bought a 3-day ticket to Bathurst you get counted 3 times even if you never go, by a ticket to an AFL/NRL match you are only counted once. The best one comes from Warburton right at the end, the Sydney 500 attracted its worst crowd ever according to the article...yet it was supposedly a success?? And closest season on record? It was close certainly, but others have been much closer. How can Phelps seriously put his name to this stuff? |

I guess it's because he doesn't actually have any understanding of Motorsport or the content he has been supplied.
What's worse is Warburton - does he actually believe any of that because its so far from reality that if true, they are not in good shape |

So the sport with a record low attendance at its marquee event, with 2013 showing TV companies with the least interest since 1996 - this is the strongest V8s have ever been??????
The way v8sa count crowds are criminal, misleading and aren't consistent with the other major codes. |

they had a record crowd at its marquee event. sold out, couldn't buy a ticket
however at a newish event that they are trying to grow the crowd was down. but tv coverage was higher now if you could provide some facts, your very good at strawmen |

The Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion road cars are not available with RWD and V8 engine. Despite that it's no problem for these brands to race a RWD V8 powered car in NASCAR. Why would it be a problem (except for the name) for V8 Supercars?
