cv2000 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lola

Hi,

I am new to F3000. I would like to know, are the chassis and engine provided free of charge to teams?

I don't know the prices, but from what i've heard about Astromega,it isn't the car that is expensive, but the fact that they had to replace almost everything as nothing from the old lola or tools can be used on the new lola B2/50.

They have to keep every part that is damaged like a suspension wishbone (collision Haberfeld and Saelens) for insurrance,so i presume that those things arn't cheap...

i was just wondering about the smaller parts for a kind of comparison to the ickle formulae (for want of a better phrase).

they'd have to pass on this huge cost this year to the driver, right? if so, i guess it'd explain the relatively large number of pay drivers....

"relatively large number of pay drivers"

Err, I think you'll find they ALL pay, without any exceptions - even Pizzonia

Yes, they all pay - the running costs have to come from somewhere. Costs for a top F3000 ride are said to be between 900,000 and 1 million US Dollars.

yeah, but really big pay drivers. some have big main sponsors, others have to find the money. last year ricardo sperafico was missing most of his budget, yet they managed to work around that.

either way teams will ask for a certain amount before they even conisder you in there car.

I might go and read mi back issues of autosport and read about the argument at the start of season between F3000 bosses and Lola, (basically the boss of Lola accused teams of over charging and being greedy).
