Sard Toyota LM return?
A few months back I read about the following but have not heard much since. Sard were waiting for publication of the new LM 2004 rules.
Sard of JGTC and Group C Toyota fame are designing a new LMP (either LMGTP or LMP900 depending on rules) for a debut in 2004 or 2005. The boss of Sard the said the engine will be a Toyota, either based on the IRL unit, V8 Turbo or maybe the new JGTC V8 engine. Sard have very close links with Toyota so could be a low key return to LM for Toyota. There sites below, can't find an English version. http://www.sard.co.jp/index.html |

This is GREAT news! But I don't think Toyota is heavily involved they are 100% focussing on F1. Would be nice to see the white-red Denso cars on Le Mans. Also good to see (after Dome) a 2nd Japanese manufacturer.
