Best Hillclimb?
Taking all the factors into account...
What's your favorite hillclimb then? (AND WHY?!) |

Gurston is terrific. Unusual because the first part of the course is flat out downhill..in the dip before the course goes uphill is a super quick left hander before the fiddly section which really sorts out the brave. I believe Wight Jr. took it flat on his recent course record run.
Last time I went, 2 years ago it was £6 entry. A bargain! |

It's a hard choice between Loton and Prescott. Loton is a challenging hill and they give you free tea, coffee and lunch, whilst Prescott is free accomodation, free coffee etc and a good view!!! can I make a choice?????? NO !! both are good but for different reasons. The only way to judge is to attend both and make you own decision!

Crazystu is right, Loton and Prescott ARE both good hills. But I voted for Prescott because it feels like I'm going home when I go there. It felt that way the first time I went there and still dose now.

Now I voted Gurston.. beacause that's the only one I know.. having travelled through the Hollow - it certainly has your attention!!
I'm going to try Prescott and Wiscombe next year - perhaps that'll change my mind?? |

I voted for Harewood because like Dan it's the only one I've done. Still great little hill and a really friendly bunch of marshals that will make anybody feel welcome.
And you get a beer at the end of it all. |
