pink69 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Ferrari vs McLaren vs Ferrari?

Today , in the touring car championships and GT series , teams are allowed to enter more than one team with the same engine. Examples include the Mercedes in DTM [ 5 teams , 10 cars ]. can F1 teams do that with works teams? having 4 works Ferraris or would that make them too much of a monopoly? Plus I guess it would be rather expensive!

Taking into account the high cost and the political issues behind F1, this would be impossible. But the closest senario we have is to have Honda providing basically 2 teams with equal engines, while Ferrari had 3 teams using the the Ferrari powerplants...Ferrari with the 050 and Prost and Sauber the 049. i think the rule state that each team is allowed to run only 2 cars, and that there is some regulations that 2 teams are not allowed to run the same car, or something to the effect.

Ferrari and Honda had stated that it is indeed financiallly and technically challenging, but it is really nice to note that they are kind enough to provide many teams with engines, when competitive engines are at a real shortage. Perhaps, Renault and Ford, who use to do that should re-offer their service, and Mercedes should stop being that selfish...! Not that they HAVE to provide a 2nd team, but if the need really arises, (like Minardi last year), they would...since Mercedes is so hard up on displaying sportsmanship! :P

Furthermore, FIA should regulate how many teams a company could provide with engines, (a limit to 2) since they often have political clauses included in their contracts...

You can't really have a go at a Manufacturer because it wants to focus all it's efforts on one team!
