I wonder what kind of lap times the P1 cars will turn if the track is dry. The 2012 WEC event times must be easily attainable if it is dry.

I'm hoping for a little step forward from Porsche...
Only the front grill seems different, must be due to cooling requirements and not aero related.

I wondered the same! Maybe break the 2:00 barrier? They were more than 2 seconds faster at Silverstone.

WECs twitter confirms its not working. Still following times with Toyota and Audis twitter though. 2:04s already for Buemi in the #8.

The only difference I can see with the grille is that they have added some reinforcing strips to it. Probably because at Silverstone, the grille on #92 was quite damaged.

And now the "short tails" sandwich the long tail, in positions 1-3. One of the Rebellion Lolas is mixing it up with the Toyota's too.

Top 6 within .9 of a second.

Now the short tails are ahead of the long tail, in positions 1-3 in the order of 1-2-3. Fastest lap has broken into the 2:01 range.

Ferrari's are quick. Low 2:20s for both. Aston 3rd with 2:20.9. Should be close.

No important step by Porsche, and again it seems the lack of speed in confront of its rivals will be the main trouble. Mmmh.... that's a bad news. Ok, it's just the first free practice session, but I'm worried...

They werent far off pace. I think they will be right there with the other cars.

I hope you're right. Porsche has always been competitive in Spa, and I think they've fixed the issues they found on the car in its first race. But I'm not so positive about...

  • long tail R18: 304.2 km/h
  • short tail R18: 297.5 km/h
  • 2013 TS030 (low drag): 300.8 km/h
  • 2012 TS030 (high downforce): 291.9 km/h

Ok, maybe I'm a little slow but I just discovered this little button that toggles Live Timing into a full list and hides the video player, which is useless in FP.
Most people problaby knew, but in case somebody else missed it (like me ) I post a pic of it.
