Marcos Skaife has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Where is Frosty going???

I have just been looking in the Avesco website and there is a article stating that Frosty Winterbotom is leaving the team at the end of this year?

Anyone know where he is going or more to the point who is replacing him??

As reported on another thread ... read Motorsport News today, which predicted Winterbottoms departure ............... TO FPR. Looks like they got it right again.

Judging on the performance of car #5 this year, I would have preferred to stay at LOR. I rate Ritter more than Frosty also (no offence), so good luck to him. He's going to need it!

My view... the times would be close... but I think Mr Winterbottom would bring the car back in a more serviceable condition. Mechanical sympathy is a strong suit of this driver.

Would Mark Larkham want Glenn Seton in his team as a driver?

Another forum suggested that Glenn was buying half into the team? I doubt that. Anyway, all these ******* rumours. Where's the confirmation? For all we know, Glenn could still be with DJR.

Anyway, back to Winterbottom and LMS '06.

Remember that Glenn wants a Konica team, and owning half a team, is better than the Skaifey or Bright route and owning a whole team. I just hope the mess is cleared up soon and we can concentrate on 2006 from the Seton perspective.

The guy who brought Frosty through karting was the same guy who brought Bright and Courtney through karting, and still rates him very highly... It has always been the car that has let him down... when was the last time a 100% Beehag shell won a race? Exactly.... nuff siad...

Well I think that was Phillip Island 2003 only a short time ago , however there have been second/third places and front row grid starts by Lowndes & Bright & Bowe.

Certainly this issue needs to be addressed.

Well Larko doesn't have much in the way of cash compared to other teams & at least with Seto he would know he will usually get the car back straight which is more then you can say about a lot of the younger guys

Give me Ritter anyday. Put him in a decent car with a switched on crew and watch him fly. Brabhams performance at Tassie was certainly no better than Ritter's performances throughout the year.........what a hack of a car.
I also notice that Winterbottom has been given a 2 year contract with a 3 year option. Ritter was on a 1 year deal with a 1 year option. Was FPR ever gonna keep him on anyway?

Did anything ever happen with Larkham putting half of the team on the market months ago? There were a few rumours at the time about who was going to buy it, but I don't ever remember hearing a final confirmed deal.... is it still for sale? (In which case GS buying half of LMS makes sense....)

So, we see Mr Winterbottom join the worst Ford team in the V8 Series, and leaves a seat open to a good, strong priveteer team with Ford's mearge backup, the question is this, who is going into car #20?

Bright was second in Qualifying, plenty of Ford teams have never done that! Despite their miserable last couple of years, I think it's starting to turn around and Winterbottom might end up at the "right place at the right time."
