Graham De Looze should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
5 speed with 7/31 diff and plain layshaft with pawl lsd.

Hi Graham - youre not exactly asking for something super rare but they are becoming a little more valuable these days
Classic race people obviously use them a lot, so scan the ads. You can use a Mk 8 and change the side plates but expect to pay £350 for a pair of second hand side plates. Hewlands will do a new one for approx £2500 (ally case though not VW Mk1 mag) other places to try
RaceTransmissionServices on 0118 979 0123, JP Raceshop at Silverstone, or PDS developments in Yorkshire.

thanks ill try jp ive rang the other two. Hewland have no stock either. Ive found one or two but they have 10/31 diffs and thats to high for my car. Its a maguire stilleto

There's a high probability that a box will have a 10/31 or 9/31 diff as the most common source will be ex FF and thats what they ran, so you may have to source another diff. A friend of mine just went over to Ireland to buy a Mk9 box, think he paid about £1k for it complete.
