Needs more legends!!
Nice photos though! We're getting some brilliant machinery out in the Saloons and Sportscars these days. |

Certain cars ie the Super Fiesta, the Focus etc only are allowed to race with us, they'll get banned elsewhere in the country for being too fast or not "within the rules." It happened at the 1st race of the season, the Super Fiesta had an illegal wing. Its no fun for people like us, the proper clubbies, who run their teams on a shoestring for the past 24 years, we start to get somewhere with them, then some novice comes with a car with 500bhp+ and has more money than talent and he hammers the rest of us due to the speed he goes down the straight. That is drag racing not circuit racing. Ron Cumming however had money and the talent. |

To be honest, from a spectator standpoint - those of us trackside don't really care who's winning when it comes to the multi-class fields... I'm just as entertained watching the 700+bhp Focus blasting up the straight as I am by John Nathan's Escort sliding sideways through the hairpin. Two more different cars it would be difficult to imagine, both entertaining in their own ways. Besides which, isn't that the point of multi class sportscars?

As a driver and a spectator, it does get boring when you see one or two people win every race just because they own a superior car, its got nothing to do with racecraft etc.
