DSC says some of the "sure" auto entries might not be taken up, incl perhaps the two AAIs, so thay should free some room.
35 minutes until the conference, 30 till start of the Youtube stream, 20 till RLM coverage! |

Do the likes of DSC and RLM have an embargoed copy of the entry list already, or are they hearing/seeing the names at the same time as us punters?

Too bad the ACO will likely rush through the entries again (when they eventually get to them after hour of PR speeches) so there won't be much time for initial reaction. Maybe they'd have learned their lesson, but the ELMS social media thing yesterday wasn't particularly promising on that front Anyway not long to go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTYgPncXzAA http://player.radiolemans.co/ (thank god these have been in youtube in recent seasons, I'm sure most of us remember the horrid breaking apart Dailymotion-only years) |

Very surprised to see the BAR1 Riley at the back of the Reserves list. Seems like FIA/ACO is only acknowledging 3 P2 manufacturers.

Healthy reserve list this year. Really just want to see the various ACO PDF entry lists at this point to pour over the details.

Also 4 JCDC Racing P2's at Le Mans. According to the entry lists, the 2 WEC cars are Oreca and the 2 extra Le Mans cars are Ligier. Maybe a typo? Or this is how they can justify running 4 cars under the same umbrella?

With one Jacques Nicolet being listed as the designated driver it opens the door to some wild speculation here: is JCDC-Jota going P1 with Ligier in the near future...? |

Honestly, I still have some concerns about ginetta two cars effort; won't be surprised if this will be only for first 2 races and last 2.
A bit disappointed to have only 7 lmp2 full season, last year has been the best class of the whole championship. Huge effort for JCDC with 2 orecas and 2 ligiers. Nice third car addition for AF Corse, the less expected addition considering how poor and limited is ferrari effort in that. |

Some points randomly that came to mind:
- Second Manor which is great but also full season (not just LM) and no LMP2 - Larbre not just "special entry" but full season - Single fake 'Alpine' - No JDC Miller taking the invite (I bet BAR1 is cursing now) - Four Jotas, even if the Onroaks probably run in conjunction with someone else - Dragonspeed bronze "special dispensation" in LMP1, you'd think them to just have fake-upgraded the amateur to silver - Smaller GTE-AM than feared (thankfully) - KCMG with Dallara reserve - Bottom reserves for Riley (honestly surprised), Bratislava and Krohn - Not 10 reserves |

Very likely JCDC will be the banner name for an OAK "official" effort at le mans, like they did in past with ESM and G-drive.

Just looking at the list again pretty much what was expected.
I think the big surprise is the 4 cars from Jackie Chan/Jota but as other have 2 of them appear to be linked with Onroak's. Also for me from Yorkshire nice to see 2 Ginetta's on the list. Roll on June |

10 Porsches in GTE overall. If all of them are at least LM2017-spec, then I'm going to have to invest in some proper ear protection...

Porsche and Ferrari are really the back bone of GTE, as usual (8 and 10 cars across the field). I wonder who Ferrari has lined up for driving seats other than the WEC regulars.
Calado, Rigon, Bird, Pier Guidi, Vilander Fisichella is in the Spirit of the race entry I think I wonder what Jaime Melo is doing these days....He doesn't have two GTE class victories for nothing... |

Even though both G-Drive and United Autosports efforts are high quality, a bit surprised that 2 cars have been granted an entry for both of them. Considering KCMG and High Class Racing are on the reserves list, both with a Dallara (instead of another Oreca or Ligier), and high/decent quality as well. |

Probably the weirdest thing for me is Rebellion taking the #1. Not sure if I've missed something here but what basis at all do they have to run this number?

Some numbers...
Chassis mfg 1) Oreca 10+1 2) Porsche 10 3) Onroak 9+2 4) Ferrari 8+3 5) Dallara 6+2 6) Aston Martin 4 & Ford 4 8) Toyota 2 & Ginetta 2 & Chevrolet 2 & BMW 2 12) Kodewa/Adess/??? 1 13) Riley 0+1 Engine mfg 1) Zytek-Gibson 23+6 2) Porsche 10 3) Ferrari 8+3 4) Aston Martin 4 & Ford 4 6) Toyota 2 & AER 2 & Mecachrome 2 & Chevrolet 2 & BMW 2 11) Nissan 1 Tire mfg 1) Michelin 38+4 2) Dunlop 12+4 3) ***NOT ANNOUNCED*** 10+1 Quote:
Or Toyota refused because of the historical value of #7/8 at LM (?) and Rebellion said they wanted #1 ahead of others. #1 and #3 form that Rebellion R13 of theirs which previously didn't make sense... |
