The nova's got a working engine again. Just have to run it in during practice and we'll be ready to go.

Great racing today again guys! It was good to see so many old friends. I was really looking forward to see Richard B give the 205 a good thrashing, bad luck mate.

Jason.

P.S. Anyone want to buy a certain championship winning red Fiesta? I'm selling it!

Good to see the Fiestas battling with the Minis, lots of great battles throughout the field.

What a fantastic days racing.Felt gutted for Richard Brent and Peter Crewes.Well done Mr Pipe on an excellent result. Some fantastic racing that made the Britcar look dull and boring they should watch us to see how it is done.Off on holiday now for two weeks see you all at Silverstone.

It could have been a three way battle in race two had i not got spun out by tim in the civic, but fair play to him he did come and say sorry and not much damage done. the speach for barry barnes was quite moving sat on the line and barrys race car on track was a nice touch....woody

Not everyone in DMN knew Barry, but he epitomised our type of driver and racing. Never had quite enough money, but always gave it his best shot. It really was silent during the "one minutes silence", which showed wonderful respect.

The marshals coming out to line the circuit and wave the flags as Barry's car did it's lap was very touching indeed. And there wasn't a sole I could see who didn't stand during the silence either. A sign of the respect between club races and spectators I think.

On a less sombre note and having had a brief chance to look through the images from yesterday, there's a peachy photo of pretty much everyone. I was at Surtees for the second race so have shots of you all heading down Cooper Straight towards me. I'll do the main gallery tonight but, if you don't normally get a personal gallery from me, let me know and I'll do one for you.

Thank goodness for DMN, they saved the weekend, along with the 924 Porsches. Keep up the good work boys, at least that is something to look out for.
I have never, ever seen such a bad weekend as this.

NO thanks to Mr. T for misleading spectators, marshals and drivers I guess with his b******t championships. 17 cars, 10 cars, 14 cars.
It is always the same: take his entries, delete half and you have the sort of actually field.
And him blagging about his "best thing ever that happened"!!!!
This was the last race I did with that man involved!

The DMN races were great, shame about the rain in race 1. The Falcon sounded great, but somehow missed the pace at the moment.

The Barry tribute was very touching, lining up trackside and seeing everybody paying respect by standing during the minute. I am honest enough to say that brought a tear to my eye. We were expecting rain to fall any minute during the tribute and I bet Barry would have loved to see us getting soaked if that had happened.

Good to see some people again and especially Jason. Not thinking of quiting, are you?

i couldnt agree more,

as for the minutes silence, well i've never known one like it, i was high up in the quite full paddock grandstand absolutely everyone stood and not a sound was made anywhere, total respect.

Minis are not my favorite car at the moment and not because of Sunday, but the width of that on in the second race was quite something, bloody good scraps and I think I have most of it on video.
Nice tribute to Barry and a thoroughly enjoyable days racing, did try and keep at the back to capture almost everyone, will try and get it posted soon.
Eddy, have some proper old English ale for you, goes by the name of Old Sump Oil.
