I thought it fair to give him the week off. Seeing as he made it around all but 1 of the laps without a spin in the race. Credit for not spinning in the worst conditions.

Contact with Latifi didn't seem like Mazepins fault either.

Schumacher crashes while warming his tyres which keeps the pit lane closed so he has to drive round was bad and kinda funny. And Mazepin still finished a minute behind.

And still both out of the points. Maybe Shumacher could have done better given the fact that is the higher skilled driver in the team.

A Pro driver who finished a 1 minute ahead of a pay driver seems quite normal to me frankly

It was such a difficult race with mixed conditions - especially so for 2 rookies in probably the worst car on the grid. I'm not saying that either Haas driver should be above criticism, but maybe both of them deserve to be cut a little slack in that race.

The point is that Schumacher made a silly mistake and drop 4 position after 4 laps. Haas is the worst car to make a day view in F1 and yes we can forgive mistakes by young drivers in a wet race. But no, I'm sorry for me that mistake by Schumacher under safety car was embarassing! It can happen, but still embarassing.

At the end of the day I would be more disappointed by Schumacher race while Mazepin race under no real expectation. And lap times by Mick weren't bad after the restart and that's only more frustrating. At the end of the day stil a 16th and 17th place for both

Hey plenty of drivers have made embarrassing mistakes throughout their career. Why our current champion made of couple of big pitlane gaffes early in his career. Top drivers shouldn’t usually make mistakes like that, but it happens

So to try and pick what has just happen.

In the thread about Mazepin people have been pointing out he had a bad race weekend. A debatable point that Schumacher had a worse race was brought up. It has now been established that Schumacher had a bad weekend too and finished ahead.

And, as an aside, both drivers bring money for their drive.
