Rod Birley should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Saturday gives the club an extra 3.5 hours of racing time thus enabling 3 heats and a final for all drivers, for very little extra circuit hire fee. Sunday would have to be run between 12.30 and 4.45, true this is possible to do, but if anything goes wrong then competitors (the paying customers) get annoyed when heats are cancelled. At the moment there are 54 entries plus the stock rod/ stock hatch challenge.43 races are planned. The entry fee was set according to economic demands from other sources, the BRDA have had to make larger increases for the same reason.

Well I can put a name to it now - Bob Gooding and it's the ex Trevor Hopkins car. The story is in Motorsport News and on rallycross.nl (although in the usual style rallycross.nl is very much against the introduction of another 'old' car, personally I think it's great to get aother different supercar out there). The car will be run at the testday at Wildtracks on the 14th of March.

winnie has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
The Trever Hopkins Mk3 escort was used as a test bed by Ford for the BDT engine that was fitted to the RS200. It was mounted transversly which was unusal as most were fitted longditudally. I can't remember the car being very succesful.

The engine is now fitted longditudally - I think this is as much to do with the gearbox and driveshaft setup as anything.
