In other silly truck news, the Bad Obsession guys have just released another episode of their wierd project to fit all of a Leyland's running gear into a Cargo chassis.....which they seem to do whenever they hit a hold-up with Binkie

Yes I saw that they had started on that old Cargo, I have wondered if "Binkie" will ever get finished in my lifetime

The truck racing clip is the Stadium trucks concept bought to Oz by Jeff Gordon of Us NASCAR and Dakar fame They often run as supports to the. V8 Supercars using a few ramps added to the standard track. Quite popular ..... until Gordon took one on a promo run on the streets and did a few donutsCAMS got a bit shitty over it and took his competition license away and a fight in the courts started which had Gordon say we’ll if I can’t play I’m taking my concept and toys home and no one can play. All resolved now.

Hope Messire John des Hauts de France, aka Biloute, is not bothered by the police. They are nervous here…*I had a thought for Tim and his friend Dave, it seems they dont really know everything about the attestation and its use. Mine exceeds all the gov' requirements! Police? What police? I haven't actually seen one yet. In fact I bravely went out without an attestation just now, admittedly only as far as the mailbox in the village. Michele keeps meeting them, but she is close to Arras.

The main problem comes from crazy joggers in Paris area, especially Bois de Boulogne. I dont think to concentrate them during morning end evening hours in restricted areas helps to avoid contacts… Jogging is allowed but not riding a bicycle unless you go to work with…

If you drive a tractor here you can do whatever you like!

I think I said before, living in a farming village we seem to be left alone & life just goes on. Based on my visits to local gendarmerie offices trying to report my stolen driving licence last year, they probably haven't heard about Chinese virus yet anyway!

I was telling Mike the other day about my visit to the loft. Found loads of race result sheets and info. 1981 I did over 20 races in F4 and Mono. I was just a Volvo mechanic back then and retained fireman. My point is I dont remember ever worrying about entry fees.
I would have to find £6/£7000.00 these days just for entry fee.Happy days.

I remember an entry fee in the 80's was around 250 French Francs. My then club use to offer it…

Talking about Bizzarrini P538 in Boobool's thread, one has been found in a forgotten and well hidden collection. Not the average barn find with 300 other cars. A Shelby GT500 is said to be almost new despite its age.

I remember back in 1970 doing a couple of oval circuit races one weekend, one
was in Germany and the other one in Holland. I had a free ferry ticket off of the club and entry fees ,I did well at the races and came back with £200 ! Now they were good old days

I've watched a couple of the videos so far. Fascinating, as much for the Collection curator's commentary as for the cars themselves.

Thanks for posting those. I enjoyed them.... the first videos I have been able to watch normally on my computer for the last month whilst I have been waiting for my internet to be connected at my new house.
I can now even open Baubles picture thread and not just get a list of file names. Now I get to see images!

I agree with the Standard Vanguard and can see what John's getting at with the Porsche, the windscreen & roofline look right but I'm not so sure about the number plate surround & grille. With regard to the Karmann Ghia, I don't think the bonnet/wingline are quite right.
My first instinctive thought was that the car at the back was a Matra Djet, but I don't think it's 'pointed' enough.
