Are F1 races too short ?

Let me see. Lets do a quick comparison. Cars of yesteryear did not go that much slower, drivers had to shift thousands of times a race, no power steering, stiff clutches, no real aerodynamics, skinny tires, and their life was literally on the line every second of every race. Yes the g forces would increase proportionally with the increased speed of todays cars and yes drivers must be in superb condition, and no one in their right mind would claim todays F1 is easy to drive. BUT (obviously really) the cars are much safer today and yes the cars are easier to drive. Not easy, easier.
