Where do I find...

...pray tell, an archive of all the WC and , previously, Grand National results (entire field)???? All I've been able to find is "modern era" results. And....history of ALL drivers that ran in the same....race by race results for them would be helpful too. A specific question is when and where did Jimmy Clark drive his one race?(in a Galaxie, I think it was '67, Darlinton or maybe Rockingham) Thanks...I'm worn out from looking for a NASCAR history site

jimclark:

I believe Jim Clark drove in the 1966 American 500 at Rockingham.I think he was driving a Holman-Moody Ford and finished 30th.

Seems to be the consensus...I thought it was 67 but what's a year one way or the other (sorry to say, couldn't have been '68....) It was definitely a ford, and i know he dropped out early, I was watching on TV at the time. Thanks

Jimclark, I do not know if you know this site but it is very good in the term of F1 statistics.
Although it is not about NASCAR but I hope you will enjoy it, of course if you have not been there already.

Here are Jim Clarks first race and last race in F1 and all other race details

Here is a short story about Jim Clark

If you guys need to know about any driver of F1 they are all here

Tribute to a champion - Jim Clark (great site with lots of pictures)

Well whether in 1966 or 1967 he was in good company...in both 66 & 67 Richard Petty finished 28th..

You ever hear the story about when Richard was made a hood ornament....By Lee??????

Legend - I hadn't seen the 4mula1.ro site...very good. Thanks a million. The reason I asked for the NASCAR history was to verify that Jimmies foray into NASCAR was what I rememberedit to be. A friend asked as he's a youngster and didn't know an f1 driver ever did NASCAR. An article mentioned jimmy and Vic Elford as Brits that preceded Justin Bells' imminent venture to the same. Of course i reminded him of Gurneys 5 wins at Riverside and Marios Daytona win.
