A great site of our poster 'David' Palmeter.

Unlikely though it may seem, if anyone has any additional information or updates, please post it here, for David to update his site.

John, glad you liked the site, thanks for the kind words here and on the Chassis History forum. I will certainly acknowledge any additional information.

My current "Holy Grail" of chassis numbers is to determine the correct number for the C5-R test mule:

Any information would be very welcome! My speculations on the matter are HERE.

Yeserday's issue of Autosport carrries and advert by GLPK offering chassis #011 for sale (Page 78). Described as the 'last C5R built by Pratt & Miller'.

I don't think it is sold. A new team is formed around it from GLPK. The Hezemans family own the #001 C6-R and created their own new team according to new FIA GT rules, that prevent 3 drivers.
The C5-R #011 is now run by PK Carsport from Anthony Kumpen, they also run a Z06 GT3 in Belcar.

Update on 2007:

#005 - For sale at SRT
#006 - PSI, FIA GT Citation Cup nr. ??
#007 - FFSA nr. 5, and FIA GT Citation Cup nr. ??
#008 - Private hands ??
#009 - Private hands ??
#010 - LMS : nr. 73 - Luc Alphand Adventures
#011 - FIA GT : nr. 4 - PK Carsport

Above - 2003-06-15 - C5R-008 (#50) and C5R-009 (#53) headed for a 2nd and 3rd place finish at Le Mans, the only year a Corvette hasn't won their class since 2000. The luck for C5R-009 would get worse:

2004-08-27 - At "Corvettes at Carlisle" I was told by the Group Marketing Manager for GM Racing, Gary Claudio, that C5R-009 was "damaged beyond repair for racing or show and would not be rebuilt". However, never underestimate the power of a cash-laden collector:

Above - 2005-08-26 - Photo and Note by AJ Aquilante - "I have a picture from Corvettes at Carlisle in 2005 of the #009 that was rebuilt. Looks as though both #008 and #009 were sold. The "Racecar Reunion" pamphlet says they were purchased by Robert Patrella."

GTFever, Anybody?

Do you have a final update for 2007 on the above cars?

Thanks,

Thanks,
#73 ran until the end of the season for Luc Alphand in parallel with their C6. I don't expect the C5 will run another season in LMS.
005 was offered for sale during the Bonhams auction at Goodwood Festival of Speed of this year.

Which was the car that was run in Belcar during 2005, driven by David Hart and Goossens?

In case you need them, I got pics of all three cars.

The car which run in Belcar in 2005 was the 007.

I think that 005 run in Nogaro this year with SRT but I don't know in which championship. FFSA GT ? FIA GT ? The team was present in the two at the same time, there were two cars in the box, so I suppose that the two have raced.

Subject: Re: Corvette Chassis Numbers

Dear David,

Corvette C5R, chassis 005 is still in our workshop for sale.
We bought a new Corvette C6R, chassis 006, this will be running in FIA GT and FFSA (French Championship). In FFSA the drivers are Ayari Soheil and Bruno Hernandez.
FIA GT (drivers) will be announced next week.

Greetings,
Maryse Lesire

Speaking of PSI Experience, has anyone heard if their C5R-006 chassis is for sale? A race team has contacted me and said they want to buy 2 C5-Rs. They are in touch with SRT about C5R-005 but want a second one. As far as I know, GM still owns C5R-002, the last "narrow-body" car built and C5R-003, by far the most successful C5R, but I doubt either of those are for sale. That only leaves the PSI car as unaccounted for in 2008. Lane, anyone?

Has the PK C5-R (chassis C5R-011) been sold already?

On top of the 8 C6.Rs, there are still 3 C5-Rs in competition.

#005 - DKR Engineering - FFSA GT
#007 - AT Racing - FIA GT Citation Cup
#011 - Race Investments - FIA NEZ
