@Alfa23
You made me research my own pictures again, and indeed I got the two different #23 cars The first "23" also had a sticker somewhere behind the front wheels, which the second "23" is lacking....

here it is

According to the programs from the Mont Historics Chassis #36 ran as "123" in 2005 (Group 6B- Chevron Reunion year),"23" in 2006 Group 6B and "123" again in 2007 Group 7A. Does seem like there are 2 #36's with similar ages. What of Chassis #23 at the Mont Historics? The build lists in this thread show #23 as having never been built.

driftwood has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
i can see a nice pile of manure steaming away!!

Seems like 2 or 3 cars have history from the 80`s only and are not able to fillin that important 1969/70 gap to the 80`s
Without that info suspicion falls on them being "Air" cars but the new HTP papers allow them some provenance to race these days
USA are free on taking entries but the EEC race organisers are getting particular on the number of copy/fake/air/replica cars racing

You can never beat buying a car with FULL history even if it is the proverbail original grand fathers axe with 3 new tubs and 6 new uprights 4th new body

At the recent CER at Silverstone Sandy Watson drove a darkblue B19, with chassis plate DBE17. Is this the original TAP car?

this is the car, and is it one of the converted B16s, and one that was not converted back to original B16 specs"

to correct myself, meant was "driven in the eighties", and I have a pic of the car, yellow with a central double black striping, carrying number 51. Looking through the website of Zul Racing, it turned out to be DBE29, the Dobby car, now back in the UK(?) in a dark blue livery. Whose car is it now?

now we can post attachments here is some material that I would love to have some expert opinion on.

First is the plate put in front of Roy Walzer's B16 Spyder raced in Monterey in 2005. "Started as a coupe" Which number? And is there another Spyder, built directly as one?
Second there is a number of cars that I shot during the Silverstone Historic in 2005.
The#9 is the Abba Kogan car, is the ex Sandy Watson and Ex Kent Abrahamson #29 (see the ZUL page..)
Then there is a red one, sporting #11, with Reine Wisell as (former) driver. It has a for sale sign on, and my guess is: Replica, but which one?
Then there is red one carrying #30. Seeing the orange indicators, my guess would be replica, but again which one.
Finally the yellow car is the Miniprio car, so this would then be #22????

IIRC, the Reine Wisell car was DBE32, ... a rather suspect car.

I know that but, as Simon Hadfield mentioned, really using number 22? In spite of the official Bennett numbering policy?

Anyone know the chassis no. of this one (Drifty?)? Seems a more reasonable price than one or two I've seen lately if it's from the original series.

Thanks, Drifty. So can we record this then as neither an original, nor a continuation car? What would it be eligible for?

its a bitsa kit car with no original parts or lineage if u look at tail on body its 917 in style with no rear mudguard
also has bdg motor fitted b16 never used them!
its probably ok for special Gt races but not hysterical events!!!

its a shame that 30 B16 cars built but all 53 exist!

i cant fathom why anyone will pay proper money for a car that is not 1 of the original build oplan or a car that has a comment as being 1 of 2 with that chassis number you would not pay £23 million for a copy of the Mona lisa or whistlers mother but as they say nowt as queer as folk

I remember in the mid 90s a garage in Leeds was selling a "Chevron B16" it had a Ferrari 2.4 V6 engine installed and a Renault gearbox/transaxle. The car was fully road legal carrying a registration plate and being taxed. I must admit I was tempted!!!
