Hakkinen, dear God, I have never understood how he's ever been ranked as a great.
Completely invisible before 1998, gifted his 1st 2 wins and then had full support of DC for his 2 championship winning season in a "Newey" car. After that, disappeared from site.

When he was in a winning car and at the front, he's very fast. But if he's mid-pack, he's not that great.

Look at his DTM performances - hopeless.

A lot of the pro Mika stuff centred around that Estoril McLaren debut in 1993 but he had already shown his ability before 1993. If Mika had got himself a regularly competitive car between 93 and 1998 he would have been challenging for the title without question.

The guy was monster quick!

Felipe looked a bit leary but quick in free practice 2 today, trouble for him is, Fernando was immense and that's what Ferrari need if they're gonna win another WDC.

Filipebaby was not driving well today. Occassionally there were a few quick sectors, but very ragged.

His race today was terrible. Yeah okay, Hamilton shouldn't have tried that move at the Grand Hotel Hairpin, but then Massa went off on the marbles in the tunnel.

I know he is still signed to Ferrari for next year, but they could give him the boot like Kimi.

I'm not a Hamilton fan, but Massa definitely turned in very early and nearly clipped the back of Webber in the process as well. He should be just as much to blame for the hairpin incident as Hamilton.

But wtf was Massa doing, with a clearly damaged car (which he said himself) still running out in the marbles through the tunnel battling Lewis? I would have just completely back out of it and let the Hamilton go.

Another poor race from Massa.

Well, you won't see Hamilton and Alonso together - ever, Fernando has been there and done that and is Ferrari's favoured son - with good reason, so it looks like Jense then.

Couldn't disagree more, it was Massa's corner and 100% Hamilton's fault.

I highly doubt you'll ever see Hamilton in a Ferrari, let alone Alonso's partner ever again.

Button won't go to Ferrari when McLaren's so good for him surely?

Ferrari will only want a no.2 on a 1 or 2 year deal whilst they wait for their next super driver to mature/become a free agent (whoever the heck that will be!)

You're talking about a man who nearly (and should've) won the 2008 WDC and sadly has endured 2 fairly significant circumstances, that have a had a negative effect on his results, outside of his making since then.

It'll be a decent team or as Bon suggests retirement when his current deal expires.

There's been some talk in TV by people linked to motosport racing, specially that his family is managing the Formula Futuro (F-FUTURE FIAT) that was created by Massa thinking of future F1 drivers and after the accident they would like him to give full attention to that. Actually it's a wish of his family that he might be willing to fullfill or not, as it all depends of what he feels about racing after leaving Ferrari. Point is, maybe people don't see it, but Massa always been very close to Ferrari and going to another team might not be in his sights. But again, who knows what the future might bring.
