Inside Grand Prix on Motors TV!

Did anyone watch that Inside Grand Prix Allianz programme on Motors TV this evening? What a joke!!!

A couple of extracts:

"and next we'll be looking at an F1 LEGEND......Alex Yoong."

".....BAR driver Jenson Boo-ton."

".....so just how do they make an engine so small rev to 19,000rpm with over 900bhp." Then Mario Illien pops up to explain, despite the fact his engines have never reached those peaks.

Oh, it was a good laugh at least.

It's a shame though really. There is potential there for a good programme delving into the technical details of the F1 world. It's just poorly executed, with a bufoon narrator.

Despite it's misgivings, it beats the pre-race show on ITV!

It will be strange hearing F1 cars revving so high, the last time I went to see F1 cars, I doubt the cars were revving higher than 17,000 RPM.

I saw that, it had a soundtrack and voice over like a corporate video!

Shame really as the idea was good but as Knowlesy said, the execution was poor.

a lot of things on there are...I was watching the Motors Legend show about the 1973 F1 season and the guy doing the voiceover couldnt even get the pronunciations of the drivers even close at times Carlos Pace...pronounced p-ay-ss
I wouldve thought shows like that would be voiced by enthusiasts with some grip on the history involved
