Go-kart construction

I'm interested in building my own go-kart, is here anybody, who knows sites, where I can find some tech topics about constructions etc.? I wasn't successful, when I tried to find it. I need to see some drawings. Thanx! TomNo

Are you building it to conform to any certain rules? If not, then there are all sorts of cool ideas to play with! There is a guy in the US building carbon fiber karts, might be able to track down some more info if you're interested (didn't immediately come up in a web search...). Some manufacturers were playing around with tubes of different cross-sectional shapes a few years back, but I think rules were drawn up to stop that, it would have quickly turned the market on its ear. I would be willing to help in the form of brainstorming/bouncing ideas around and maybe a little engineering help if you'd like...

Ooooh, just noticed how old this thread is He probably has the thing done built by now
