Dogs at Combe?
I would really like not to have to kennel my dog for the Combe DMN weekend in July.
Does anyone know if I can take him? He is, of course, perfectly behaved and will be kept on a lead. |

Hi Jamie, your best bet is to contact the circuit to ask them about your dog. As a ruke dogs are not permitted to race circuits for obvious reasons, but it's worth asking just in case.

You will probably find that all circuits have a "Animals Not Allowed" sign at the entrances.

Have you got any friends who wouldn't mind looking after him for a day or two?

I certain that Combe don't allow dogs. I think it even says "no animals" on the entrance ticket.

It's printed in Combe's programmes
'Animals are not admitted to the circuit or paddock car parks' Must say I have seen a few over the years, normally 'smuggled' in when the caravan club have been on site |

Can't you take a white stick and pretend he's a guide dog. ;-)

i took my dog to oulton in 2005 for the BTCC, christ he caused absolute pandemonium, a staff which is hyper on a lead that wants to jump on everyone lick them to death is a bad combination, but the oulton park employees didnt have a problem.
but i think i was very lucky with that one, the dog ran down the busy paddock straight for one of the hospitality unit's, cant remember which one but it was black, i attracted the attention of half the paddock and practically most of the drivers that weekend by screaming "MAX GET HERE NOW!!!!". not a good idea to take the doggy to a race meeting, try and get a friend to take care of the pooch, its easier and saves the chaos like i had a few years ago. |
