How will Lister do in 2002?
This year was a rather poor year for lister, after winning the title this year, the 2 cars were unreliable and were in too many accidents. Next season they will be #5 and #6 after being beaten into 3rd place overall by the Carsport Holland cars. I think, if they are reliable, they will be hard to beat. They really need to go to the Spa 24 hours if it is on again as that was their major downfall.

They will be back, I read in Autosport that they are building a LMP900 prototype, for next year, it is being designed by the guy who design the Panoz LMP007, It will be powered by a Jag engine and should run sometime before the end of the year. Yet another car for the Brits to get behind next year, if it gets an entry.

there is no reason why lister shouldnt perform in 2002 - for starters maybe they should join cambell walter and bailey back up together .....
they ran pretty well this year in both fia gt and british gt (champions) - so i dont think they will just disappear your right pink69 when you say there downfall was spa - you cant give away 20 championship point and expect to win championships at that level of competition finally - its back |

Liste had bad luck in the FIA GT series this year. They won at Zolder, bur were disqualified and Campbell-Walter was taken out in Hungary. Also car failed in Austria, while Coronel was catching the Ferrari.
So, just a change of luck is needed. Also team must drop Springer, if they want 2 car to battle for wins, Springer has money, but is not as fast as Bailey. |

give someone like Duez or Van der Poele springers seat. Coronell should do a full season too if the listers want to be competitive. I think the line ups should be Campbell walter and Bailey , Coronell and Duez / van der poele

You have to understand that they need Springer because he pays them shed loads of money. If they got rid of him they would need more sponors which is more difficult that it first seems. Especially since the listers are already clogged up with sponsor's logos.

As for Coronel, his name has been mentioned in connection with a number of drives for 2002 (including the new Spyker GT3! ), what kind of contract does/did he have with Lister? Was it only 1 year, or race-by-race? |
