NBC Sports.com
As you well know, the Speed.com website is being demolished. My only worry so far is what will happen with John Dagys. It would be silly for IMSA to sign a 5-year television deal with Fox, but have no journalist on Fox Sports.com.
Racer.com has been hiring lots of journalists, most notably Marshall Pruett and Robin Miller. I wouldn't be surprised if their Autosport syndication deal is finished, because they have journalists everywhere. It's definitely a very complete motorsports website. But I'm really surprised by NBC Sports.com. A year ago, it had some Nascar and a little IndyCar. Now the motorsport section has grown incredibly. See these three articles: o- Road America rocks for Rolex, ALMS, but two big hurdles remain for ’14 o- Donny Schatz wins prestigious Knoxville Nationals o- Kubica in line for WRC promotion They didn't get the United SportsCar deal, but they run opinion and random stuff articles on it. They have turned an ear on sprint car racing. It's great news for short track racing in the country. And they have unconfirmed speculation on World Rally Championship! On an American main sports website! I'm simply baffled. |
