Why has BE not been at the last two races?

He's been busy stroking his cat in his hidden underground volcano lair.

The silence is deafening, perhaps he has found an old peoples home he likes. I know he has missed the ocassional race where his legal status was in doubt but two in a row means I am hoping it might become permanent. I bet he doesn't miss the next one, he and that Russian thug are best mates.

He's just trying to keep out of everyones' sight; it would seem as though, for once, he can't just wave his money stick at a problem and it disappears.

I heard that he couldn't afford the private medical insurance at his age......so he can only go to countries where he can use his EHIC

Afic, they are both to blame, though, I lay most of it at Bernie's feet. He's been constantly tinkering and interfering with F1 for years and now the whole thing looks like it's starting to unravel.

He's partly responsible for the lousy product. Grand Prix in countries with no motorsports heritage, who are willing to pay him is exorbitant sanctioning fee, so they can hold a Grand Prix on unimaginative circuits, that Bernie gets Tilke to design. Meanwhile Europe, the heart of F1, is having its life blood drained from it.

sort of talking about this in multiple threads...i have many issues with BE and how he has run the sport but he is hardly responsible for the capital flight out of Europe to the new emerging markets and new financials capitals of the world.
certainly he is taking advantage of these trends but its hardly a situation of his making. anyone in charge would have done the same thing imo. |

I have to aggre with you, it's rather sad to be honest ..
BUT he is not going to run the sport for ever, hopefully some new blood will be more sympathetic to the needs of the sport rather that just the business end of it .. |
