Stewart messed JPM up by shoving him out of line and hence out of the draft.

Stewart was coming on the outside. At the same time, Gordon had a run on JJ and pulled out. JJ blocked, Gordon went high and wound up right in front of the surging Stewart. He then got the inevitable bumpdraft from Stewart, given his momentum, and that pushed him solidly into the lead. There was no photo finish at the line but it was a great last lap.

JPM got shuffled back but this is the first time he has been in the lead pack at the end of a plate race so surely he learned some lessons about what to do.

JV had a solid race, but his second brush with the wall ruined the car. Still, he gained valuable experience for Daytona and it is good to see his teammate finish 3rd to give a boost to the BDR team.

Just one of those deals I guess.

Always seems to go wrong late on for JPM at Talladega though. Hope this isn't a trend.

That is the difference between experience and non-experience. Jeff Gordon "knows" when to turn it on.

Ok, JV drove a pretty good race. I still think that JPM drove a very good race.

That was a great day by JPM Muggle. I'm sure he'd like to have the last few laps back but he drove a great race - I thought he was gonna to win it. JV kept his nose clean and given the circumstances, a good job.

I think Jacques'll take to this stock car thing, I really do. Not like he's never driven an oval race before. But then, who among us has another 4 hrs. a week to watch motor racing?

Those that watched the Dega race saw some brilliant driving by Jeff Gordon. Remember, he was 11 laps down with only 7 laps to go and manuevered expertly. His move to cut in front of Tony only gave Tony 3 choices......either hit the wall, hit the driver next to him, or push Jeff. He chose to push Jeff and Jeff won the race. It looks like the chase may be down to 3 or possibly 4 drivers . it will be very difficult for the others to overcome the points lead against drivers like Jimmie and Jeff. Jeff will have to drive another smart race at Lowes since it is one of Jimmie's favorite tracks.

I'd love to see Tony take the title this year but he's gonna struggle.

I'm really starting to get annoyed that I'm missing out on the coverage of the chase, it sounded like a great finish. Especially for Jeff to come back from 11 laps down with 7 laps to go

During the rugby world cup we get the races as live, but they are played at midnight, a couple hours after the actual finish. Just on their installation lap now talking to Dale Jr.

Gordon can thank Casey Mears for getting him up to the front. He got luck at the end, but hey, the greats have a knack for that.

Tony Stewart is a menace. Diving around all over the place. His antics last week were bad, even worse this week. He was very lucky not to cause a massive wreck on a few occasions.

Hah, you don't know much about restrictor plate racing then. All of that stuff you saw, is commonplace.

Wasn't a bad race, got a bit pretty boring when they were keeping single file for so long there in the middle.

The end was good....except I didn't want any of those front runners to win! Carl Edwards was right up there but dropped somehow, Bowyer was never in it (but the engine kept in one piece!), Montoya got muscled out by Stewart, I was hoping Blaney would win it by the end of the last lap!
