History of the Datsun 2000GT / 2400GT in Europe

Hi everyone

I'm trying to find out more about the Datsun 2000GT's racing in Europe in the early 70's. I know 3 cars competed in the 1972 24 hours of Francorchamps.

This is one of them: http://www.racingsportscars.com/etcc...-07-23-060.jpg

but that's about all I know. Could anyone help me with more articles, pictures,.. maybe someone knows what happened to the cars?

My goal is to learn all I can about the European history of these cars. I hope someone could help me

Kind regards!

You can find more pictures here http://touringcarracing.net/Pages/p%...0de%20Spa.html

and if you do a search on "Nissan 2000 GT" on my site you'll find some more Belgian races where this car participated.

Hi Tim,
Some suggestions:

Try contacting the Miroux family ( Belgium ), who are still active in historic racing in Europe.

You can also ask Dutch driver Rob Janssen, who was/is a Ten Tenths forum member.

Ok, that is very usefull information, thank you . Do you happen to know the nickname of mr Jansen on this forum? I didn't find him with the search option.

Regarding the Miroux family. It's a pity I didn't know earlier! I spoke to them in Francorchamps when they were racing their Z's. Charming people, very passionate! I will see if I find a way to contact them.

They brought along some nice cars.

I sent it to you by PM.

Next time you see the red Miroux 240Z, have a closer look. It's a very interesting car.

I send him a message. He's on facebook as well but I doubt he's very active. I wonder if he will reply at all.

Thanks for the help
