Your better off going down to Harry's Diner on a friday night to see some good machines rather than looking at a new car supermarket and a couple of interesting machines

i gotta agree with team drinkalot. went on saturday afternoon. there was only a few cars worth seeing, the rest you could just see in a showroom. i reckon the motorbikes and the stuff outside was more interesting!

anyway i think i saw dick johnson at like 4pm outside Shopmotorsport, watching the 1996 v8s highlights video. reminising the old days and having a laugh at the start of the lakeside race that year.

I'll probabaly end up doing the Motor Show double today, as I will be going to see the Cleveland Auto Spectacular at the Cleveland Showgrounds (for all you cheapies it's only $3 to get in) this morning following that, I'll go catch a train to the Brisbane International Motor Show.

God I love living near Cleveland

It must be hard to come up with something exciting every year when there is what now 3 motorshows??? Maybe if they rotated them around between Sydny,Melbourne and Brissy you would get more bag for your buck.

Sure Crash. I'll believe that the young female on the cover of the motorshow programme came up and talked to you, just as much as I believe you talked to a "leading" FFord driver. We both know this isn't true.

Anyone notice the press release on the Supercar site about the "new team" to be released to the world on Saturday at the motorshow... 12.30pm or something.

http://www.v8supercar.com.au/news/la...y.asp?gid=9213

So they can tell us that WPS, Noske, Besnard and Caltex driving 00 Bangers will all be one happy family....

vortexo should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
http://www.crash.net/uk/en/news_view...d=53&nid=85269

A new V8 Ford V8 Supercar team is on the verge of being launched according to reports in the Australian motorsport press.

Aussie title Motorsport News places David Besnard and Mark Noske at the team which is expected to make an announcement at the Brisbane Motor Show this Saturday.

The team reportedly will be running Ford Falcon BAs after having purchased the former 00 Motorsport vehicles. Backing will reportedly be coming from WPS Financial Services and Caltex.

The Brisbane Motor Show will see the launch of the new Triple Eight livery on Friday, with drivers Max Wilson and Paul Radisich running with the #888 and #88 respectively.

Crash.net has seen a sneak preview of the new Triple Eight paint scheme, and it's sure to look good on track in 2004.

Next weekend meanwhile sees the Melbourne Motorsport Show – cleverly taking place at the same time as the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series opener at Wakefield Park – and three more liveries will be shown with Holden Racing Team, Ford Performance Vehicles and Paul Weel Racing (Team Brock last year) showing their new paintwork.

It would not surprise me about the credit cards.

They would need to have a substantial number of users (i.e. 20,000 plus) who revolve their credit in order to generate sufficient fees for AVESCO to enjoy a benefit from it.

Worked at all 3 motor shows (Brisi,Sydney&Melbourne)and even though I live in Melbourne I gotta say it is the better event.Held at Grand Prix time you can be assured every GP driver will poke their nose in whether officially or not.Its also the closest most people will get to a F1 car as most major marks have a car there(Last year Williams Jag Toyota). This year Mercedes is rumoured to have a MP18 on there stand.
