Agreed he's resigned etc. but you forget the issue of collective responsibility. One of the basic principles of our parliament. Rather than vote for something he disagreed with, he resigned. Others such as Gove, to make a case in point, keep changing tack to stay in the lucrative positions.

Whether he's lost his bottle is another matter, but so far all we are saying is that if it isn't him then it's Corbyn.

He's only 78, and he appears far more "sprightly" than Harold Macmillan was when he became PM at the age of 63. Or a lot of other premiers that we have been stuck with over the years.

But he's a remained and to coin a phrase, you just don't get it. The reason we are in this mess is because the remain camp refused to accept a democratic result.

Whether the vote was right or not is another question but the perception, worldwide is that this country voted to leave the EU and the will of the people has been subsumed on the anvil of self interested remain politicians.

When you take part in a referendum you are agreeing to accept the result, which ever way you vote, some 16,000,000 who voted have refused to accept the democratic decision. I feel that reflects very badly on those people, and for me that is what is wrong with this country, a lack of moral character. I note that more than 16,000,000 voted to remain, and some will have accepted the result, so if you are one of those well done.

You might not like the result, but you should accept it.

Peter, if that is the case, why is it that all the remainers who have voted against the Bill, haven't actually supported it?

What you mean, I think, is that the UK would not be leaving the EU in the way that you, and some others, wish to, i.e. with no deal at all.

The fact is they see it as a means to delay or impede any change in the relationship. But yes had we mad a clean break we would have been in a good position to settle a satisfactory deal. Tying to leave with a deal has done nothing but create confusion and bad feeling.

Exactly, Leave means leave, not faff around because you didn't get the result you wanted.

How on earth a remoaner could be made Prime Minister and then be expected to organise something she voted against will go down in history alongside Chamberlain's ' Peace in our time' as classic examples of all that is wrong with Politicians.

Something occurs to me which I have yet to hear mentioned...it seems a lot of leavers voted that way because of immigration. Assuming there is no border between Northern and Southern Ireland what is to stop anyone catching a ferry from France to Dublin, up to Belfast and over to the UK mainland ......? Or am I missing something....

Nothing, but we don't mind 'any 1' of the hundreds of thousands who want to come here as economic migrants, it's all the others we object to.

But since the remainers insist that Brexit will utterly ruin our country, why would anyone want to come here?............

I don't of course actually believe that immigration was in fact the main reason - although for some a contributory one - for the Leave vote. It certainly wasn't high in my concerns.
