Probably 1991 when they finished 2,3,4 when others were pit stopping.

In 1995 the PC Automotive car was up to 3rd by the middle of the night against the F1 GTS and F40s but retired.

I get the feeling Jaguar will be back at LM in the next 2-3 years if/when the F1 program is scrapped/turned over to Ford

I count that Rob - but the ACO didn't.......

And I wonder if a Jag actually led during a pit stop in 1991 - does anyone know for sure?

Actually, I suspect the real answer is on 21st and/or 22nd September 2002.

When the XJ220C was 3rd at night in 1995 were the cars ahead LMPs or other GTs.

July 2004 confirm ; according to Gilles, who will give more precisions, it could be married with the Journées Bleues (Blue Days) of the french competition cars in the history (or only the history of LM ? Not sure...).

Well Jag, according to my 1995 "hour by hour", the 57 XJ220C was up to 4th place by the 8th hour and stayed there during the 9th hour as well. So that would be midnight to 1 am-ish. That is 4th overall. As far as I'm aware, it went out with a broken camshaft.

The 58 car didn't dare as well. Its best position was 9th, also by midnight. It then lost time with bodywork repairs until Iacobelli shunted it at the Porsche Curves (the scene of many an accident in 1995). Percy did re-start the car but was so alarmed by it's handling that he brought it back in and it was withdrawn.

Nick M should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Technically the Joest Porsche that won in, what, 95 and 96 ? was a Jaguar chassis.... Started life as one of the last Jag Grp C chassis built by TWR.

I wouldn't personally count the Joest car (although I appreciate where you're coming from Nick). You can say the same about the Mazda which entertained us so well at Le Mans in 1992.
