RaceTime should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Oran Park - Formula Holden

Only 7 qualifiers...something needs to be done to pick this category up before it is too late.

There may be plans afoot to revitalise it, but unless they can get these plans kicked in very quickly I can see promoters refusing to have them on the program - one circuit only carried them because they were contracted to - they tried to vary the contract!

So sad about the state of these awesome open-wheelers...

Noticed that Emerson Newton-John is missing. Is he no longer in the series?
By all accounts the guy was making a good go of it.International flavour could do great things for this series don't you think?

Hmmm not sure - there was no mention of him not continuing at Calder - maybe Nestor can let us know...

Emerson Newton-John's team (NRC?????) had to sell their cars due to financial probs. They are still running their konica v8 car though.

Motorsport is Aus is having some major problems me thinks, all the money is flowing through the v8's. A big big shame.

I think that F3 is the way to go. It's cheaper (?), and is a more international class. If a driver goes to Europe and says he won Formula Holden, the reply will most likely be something along the lines of 'what the hell is that?', where as everyone knows what F3 is.

I only just picked up this spelling mistake from a recent Formula Holden Media Release - maybe they know something we dont and they aren't really telling us the full story?

While Kelly appears certain to claim the God Star crown in the near future,

Blimey... do they still have the silver star?

and Blimey II- 7 cars, is there anything in the CAMS manual about the minimum number of entries to make a class at a meeting to make it elligible for state/national points? I always thought at state level it was 10...is this applicable to national championships?

Re min imum numbers - not sure and haven't heard anything about them BUT it is something that could now be argued at State level - what's good for the goose etc...

re: Newton-John, isnt he joining Hocking now?

Kiwi James Cressey will be driving for Ralt at Mallala. They were expecting to have his car ready for Oran, but driveline parts didnt arrive in time. I await eagerly his debut and reckon that he will be on the pace straight away.

I was there yesterday at Oran Park and FHolden was extremely disappointing.

If I want to see one car dominate a pitiful uncompetitive field of about 7 cars I'll watch an Aussie Super Touring race !
