Earlier today I watched the Croft rounds on BBC and it was definately slightly better racing that what we've seen before this season, which bodes well for the night race. I was at Goodwood that weekend, and I heard about Vincent Radermecker's crash, but I didn't appreciate how nasty it actually was - he was lucky to escape unhurt!
The teams have come on a bit in their pitstops haven't they - I remember when a high 6 seconds was considered brilliant (early '98) and most people were managing 7s. Reidy had a 4.40s stop! |

I thought that the BBC did a very good job with their Croft prog. Apart from being on at the same time as the French GP coverage.
Very good editing, mixing the in-car stuff with the normal race stuff, particularly when they showed different views of numerous overtaking moves and shunts. Plato's tailending of the Honda was scary, Radermecker was very lucky to walk away. Hopefully we will see some more of the same from the almost sports free channel??? |
