The Pemrey thing is a bit of a red herring I think in terms of the car - they would have to change the engine, intakes, bodywork and other stuff in order for the car to fit in with the WTCC regs which would be a waste for a 1-off outing.

If he's in a BMW I guess it's more likely to be the second Proteam (or if not Zengo) car liveried up like they did with the Wiechers car last year or just the sponsor decals on the side

GREAT to see Turks back to racing. Although being back in a FWD car might feel a bit strange for him

Give him a few laps to get the hang of it and he'll be back in the groove. He was a very good FWD driver before the switch.

I might be mistaken but I do recall a big debate when WSR revealed they were using BMW's in 2007 with regards to how Turkington might struggle with RWD as his career had been solely FWD tintops, Fiestas etc..

I'm sure you're right. Good drivers can adapt, no problem. It was probably a blessing in disguise that the ProTeam car got wrecked at Sonoma and he couldn't use that. A Cruze turbo is a much more exciting and competitive proposition.

Colin has set a great P5 in the unofficial Friday test, only 0.35 off P1, so he's not wasting time!

AON Fords

What is it with the Focus? They have a good squad running the car but after all the testing & development through the year they are just over 2sec slower than HTCC champion Eric Kwong in a N/A Cruze? Dont think this season will tempt Ford to turn to AON for a fully backed attempt next year.

James Nash was only 0.07 away from Q2 this morning.

doesn't matter how far or close away from it, they should be in it!
they are just rubbish and really going no better at the end of the season than at the start, after all those thousands of kilometres of racing and testing and one of the biggest budgets out there.

It is disappointing. From the outside looking in, they seem to be going backwards. The one big positive has been the performance of Nash. In this situation, all you can do is beat your team mate and he has thrashed Chilton.

Didn't see race 1 but race 2 had a great battle between Boardman, Monteiro, Turkington and Cerqui.

I don't think Menu invites Muller for his birthday party in the future.

Huff on pole for the championship...but with the final round at Macau you never know!

Missed race 1 as well. EPG must have been wrong as Sky+ didn't start recording until the last lap. Looks like I missed a good race.

Second race for me showed why there is still hope for the WTCC. Some people will just look at the results and see another Chevrolet walkover but miss the frantic midfield scrap.

Yes, good fights in midfield, but way too many incidents.

The Sky EPG had the wrong timings in it again, Eurosport seem to be incapable of getting the EPG timings right for anything on either of their channels. By chance I woke up early and turned the TV on at 6:45 in time to see the field going through the last turn for the rolling start.

I've heard a few people having issues with EPG/Eurosport/Sky+ this morning, but I had no problems. There was FIA WTCC (warm-up) followed by Live FIA WTCC (race 1) followed by Live FIA WTCC (race 2) and they all recorded fine.

In terms of the races, they were certainly action packed! Not 100% convinced about the stewards work for the most part - ridiculous penalty for Norbi in race 1, yet a lot of much more 'interesting' stuff went seemingly unseen. As for letting D'Aste drive an entire race with an open door, that seems ludicrous to me. A potential danger to the driver, a potential danger to other cars and a potential danger to people around the trackside. They pull people in for a but of flapping bumper, but not a whole door?

All in all though, some good action and some great results for Huffy!

The problem was Eurosport HD didn't start until 7.15am, whereas Eurosport 1 started at 6.45am.

Chevrolet are boring, totally dominant again. Heard Menu & Muller wont be team-mates next year, where are they at?

It's looking unlikely unless they both end up at the same place after Chevrolet's withdrawal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Muller with Loeb at Citroen in 2014 though.
