Nexus should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
FIA GT's Silverstone 1st, 2nd & 3rd May

Anyone else going to drool over the supercars from the side of the track while remembering to wave flags at them?

It's looking like this meeting will be my first of the year follwing the screwups at Donington, Looking forward to being back in orange.

I'm also looking forward to new Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series, I'm a sucker for the roar of a V10.

5 of us from up north coming down for this one, looking forward to it. hopefully the weather is kinder than last years fog and freezing winds!!

24 entered for GT1 / GT2 race & 44 for the GT3 races apparently plus GT4, Lambos & F3 races - think we may be busy on this weekend

It's another of the 5 from up North here!

After the disappointment of what i thought would be my first meeting of the year at the donington f3/gt being postponed/cancelled, i can't wait until this event! It looks better and better each day and the grid sizes look brilliant! I also went on the official website for the Lambo Blancpain series - those cars look amazing(i may actually yelp in pain if i see one crash)! I'm also really looking forward to seeing the mighty Ford GT and brand new Nissan GT-R for the first time.

Paul, what are the chances of me being roped into observing again at some point during the weekend, just so i can be prepared for it this time!(After all it is televised live, wouldn't want to have an almighty cock-up in front of thousands!)

Thanks for the video link flagmonkey(real name being Ken, John or Derek?), tho that was actually quite funny-saw it from the top of duffus! The lambo blancpain cars are much better looking and probably a lot more expensive! Plus if one of them crash you could end up having to deal with some little irate Italian who will be flamboyantly shouting obscenities at nothing in particular as his 200,000 euro motor smoulders at the side of the track.

And the timetable looks really good, at least we won't have to wait till sunday to see some racing - and we finish around half six each day as well, perfect time to head off to the pub!(i WILL be 18 by then!)

Up where the toes are tapping, down where the jocks are strapping......sorry, got carried away there for a moment........Glad to see you northern lads are coming down to see us southern softies again this year, I trust your head gear will be on show as per usual...!
Looking forward to meeting up with you all again, word of warning, the Lambo racing is usually a little bit of a let down ok...........

That timetable looks not bad, plenty of down-time on the Sunday.

I'll be there for the Saturday and Sunday only. Depnding on the weather I could be camping, but if it's really cold (like last year) I'll be tootling off home or to a local BnB.

Going to be spectating this one as we did two years ago.
Thoroughly enjoyed marshaling it last year and hopefully will get plenty of pics of the Orange as we wander round the circuit.

I'll be there saturday and sunday for my first meeting on the GP circuit! I'm hopeful that there will be a few more marshals there than there were at Rockingham the weekend just gone!

Change of work schedule ( days holiday ) means i am now available for Friday only to Marshal, would love to do all weekend but need to be a family again and no better way than be with them all for this meeting.
This is the meeting that got me into marshaling and i will never forget it.
Will try to meet up with as many of you as possible over the weekend though.

I think i'm going to regret this but i'll be braving the Bank Holiday traffic to drive to Circuit on Friday evening, and the typical bank holiday weather by camping for 2 nights.

Fingers crossed for no rain.

Am there on the Friday only. Should be quite good, although there is a certain lack of Astons in GT1.

I've just had a tip off that the Lambo race might not be happening - will mean an earlier finish on Saturday and Sunday though.

That's a shame, the cars look stunning. Not really a suprise though-bit of a daft time to start a new (quite probably VERY expensive) series. I also wonder whether Formula Le Mans will be put on hold aswell?

Some say that the Lambo organisers were worried about certain marshals suffering from stress and negative emotions should any of the cars get damaged

It will also mean a slightly later start on Friday too so watch this space for any revision to the signing on time.
