Hearing drivers comments and seeing the times, I am really quite amazed just how realistic the Grand Prix 2 version has been. I must have done a hundred laps.
Pole position should be about 1:13:000. The fastest I have managed to get in a BAR is a 1:13:10?. The race will be very boring, and incredibly tiresome for the drivers. It is very technical, and one mistake will put you off course. Unfortunately it is so tight and twisty that it is suicide to go 2 wide anywhere between turns 3 and 11. I thought we might get a mixed result today, but I guess we are seeing the same thing we have all year. Except for Gene of course. I am sure that Gene will take his rightful position at the back of the grid tomorrow. Although it might rain......... |

Well, remember the last time JV raced at this track; two laps down to win it all!! Mind you, that may be a tad difficult in a BAR, when one considers that there are going to be two silver and two red machines in front of him.
I'd really love to see Mika and Michael run into -- uh -- trouble and for DC to win. Just so that it can again be a true fight for the title!! Well, almost... |

Hey Jay, there must be a lot of difference between the GP2 programmed info and the new track. From what the drivers say, it might actually turn out to be a great race, with slipstreaming and team tactics for drivers to help their team mates in passing along the straight and curved section. Let's look on the positive side, as I have to get up at 4 in the morning to watch all this.
