I don't think Ferrari ask drivers to bring a sponsorship package - he could go there without taking Trust!

Huub Rothengatter says the stories told by Trust and Jordan aren't at all true and he's thinking about legal action.

With all respect, I don't mind if Rothengatter goes to court, as long as Jos Jos has the guts to sack him. With Rothengatter at the the helm, Verstappens chances are virtually nill to get back in formula-1 after what Jordan has said about the guy.

Okay guys, a little fun that's all.
To tell the truth, I think F1 days for Jos are over. With all young talented drivers coming around, and a clearly trend to hire young and unexperienced (in F1) drivers for racing, Jos has very little chance to come back. In the coming season, we see that only a "veteran" like Nick Heidfeld, a youngster after all, has secured the seat. All others old guys are proved talented and still has potential to achieve someting in F1. Even the old DC. |

Huub has kept Jos in F1 for 108 GP's, now Peridon tried to do the negotiations and it went wrong, a Dutch magazine(racereport) says that there was a verbal agreement over the driver contract but the problems where with the sponsorcontract, They also say that during a crucial part of negotiations Peridon was away for 3 days ice racing in Sweden and left the negotiations to a friend of his(who had never seen a F1 race)
they think Peridon was just in it for the free publicity and had no real intention to get Jos in a Jordan. |

But why would Jordan so explicitly name Rothengatter as the guilty guy, if that weren't very close to the truth ? I dont think that Perridon would be so dumb to sponsor a Jordan if he knew that there wouldn't be a Dutch driver in it. So i'm inclining to go along with the opinion that the management of Jos messed up. Such a shame love, bridget |

Well Jordan have taken the Trust logo's off the car for the current test but I certainly believe EJ is doing all he can to secure Trust as sponsors this season.
I suppose they still have a place as a test driver. Although I don't know how much of a 'real' position that would be. They obviously won't be doing that much testing this year. Although there is the third driver for Friday's to think about. |

OK, enough is enough. Jos will not be at Jordan F1 driver, in fact he will not be in F1 for any team. Let’s accept this, get on with our lives and enjoy F1 as it is ( as far as you can enjoy F1).

And according to the magazine, the three days that Peridon was away are the three days *after* Trust broke with Verstappen's management (So it didn't affect the negotiations). And the magazine mentions that last sunday was the magazine's deadline. So they didn't know yet what Jordan and Trust would tell us on monday about this situation ... |

Look guys, Jos is gone, forget him, he's in the past! Look towards the future.....surely there's someone else to cheer on?
Is Jos the be all and end all? Stop talking about him! And the name "Trust" is getting to a similarly tiresome level! Last edited by Knowlesy; 19 Feb 2004 at 21:27. |
