I am really looking forward to the first race. I have a pretty good feeling about it, even better now that i see that i'm faster than the lot of you
 (though i'm baffled as to why. Is it me just being quick, or you guys just making a bad start or what? You have to be quicker than this surely? You talk of averaging 1m21.5, when i'm doing that already pretty much...)

well, if 72% of laps in 1m22 or less isn't a good start then i don't know what is. But i reckon come race day i'll be able to rattle off 24 laps under 1m22 no problems.

BTW, i think it helps that i've got myself a really good race setup, so i have the confidence to not push too hard, in the knowledge that i'm still quite fast. Even braking early for T1 i was setting 1m20s.

i've just completed a int long race, and averaged 1:21.401 (excluding first lap of course) so I think i've gained a bit of a rythm now. still haven't gone negative yet though, keep on getting so close and not doing it. it is beginning to pee me off now.

Nice one. You don't need to go negative. Average that in the race and you've won it mate.

Right, i just did a race with the AI.
My slow computer caused me to have about 0.5FPS for the start of the race, and i tangled with another car on the line. 1m34 the result  But the rest of my laps averaged out at 1m21.819 Problem is, in training mode there's no tyre wear! There i was, doing two 1m22s on the trot, struggling with a car that was just eating it's front tyres! Still, fastest lap at 1m20.608 is pretty good. And this time i had two offs, with one other mistake. I ran too deep into 4 twice, and then lost it on the brakes into 5. Without that, my average would have been much lower. |

The Honda is awful isn't it! Looking good there pirenzo, should be fine came race day. I'm not so fussed on the weeks of 'training' before the race as I was last year, with the exception of Snett 67 and what ever add on tracks we use, I don't have to learn them scratch this time, which is nice! I'm not confident about Kya though, it really isn't that fun in the brab.

right guys, sorry to announce that i will not be competing in any races for the TTFL part 2 and any other races afterwards indefinately. it was just such an arse that i couldn't do other TTFL dates in the previous season because of damn Table Tennis commitments that i was reluctantly signed up for. Sorry guys, i wish all you guys the best of luck for the coming season and remember: Races aren't won on the first corner...they're won on the drag to the first corner - so GET SOME PRACTICE STARTS IN!!!
