beneton have simulated the indy track, and it seems like the cars will bank (turn 11 the banked turn) at around 310kph and not at 250kph like widely speculated in this forum, the turn with the stright after it will total 21 sec. of flat out (full trotel) witch is the longest in f1 tracks, (hokenheim longest is about 16 sec.) the other part of the track is very slow 1rst and 2cond gear corners, so if the slow part has passing options then it might bee a very exiting race with lots of position changes between the more pwerful low downforce like bar arrows mclaren to the ferari and like....

310 kph is still a good 60 kph below what F1 cars could take that turn at, so it will not be a problem. The only way a car will crash on the last corner is by Mechanical failure.
The top speed reached at Indy will be a little over 330 kph. That compared with cars approaching 360 at Hockenheim. Everything else described in that Bennetton F1 sim, is absolutely indentical to the exact kph that I have been driving in GP2. Makes you wonder....... |

I also read that Indy will see the highest speeds for Formula 1 cars.

That is not true at all. Monza and Hockenheim will both have significantly faster top speeds.
