ozywoodwards should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
1.27.82 at cadwell, with a 28.5 on pribula. getting there! i have to go SO slow tho around the second to last right hand bend. i must be losing half a second there, but it seems so hard to get round it at any kind of pace at all. i know its a tight bend but i have to go right down to 33mph, and keep going that slow for seemingly ages. deffo the bend im gonna have to work on.

Well, if I can drive the cooper at Adelaide at the low 31s, I think you'll need to be going, at least, into the 30s

PS: I almost bet that I'm going to have a miserable race at Adelaide ahahah

Mine

Spa - Lotus
Goodwood - Lotus
Adelaide - Lotus
Ring - Ferrari
Cadwell - Ferrari

I need some time to drive the other cars as I've only driven the Lotus. The above will hopefully give me some time to do that!

remember you need to drive all the cars during the season Scott

Gil: unlikely. I'm having a pretty torrid time with driving full-stop at the moment. I'm pretty fast when well practiced, but as soon as I stop driving regularly for a couple of weeks I got straight back down to barely negative pace. I don't expect to be up with you for the first few races at least because like others I'm not really finding the time to keep up...

Goodwood = Honda
Adelaide = Brabham
Nurburgring = Lotus

A bit better this evening for me though. I still think my familiarity with the tracks I'm driving though is masking my rustiness. Spa could be dreadful...

Well, I'm only starting to drive again after stopping in March because it distracted me from studying. And I wasn't very good then. Spa in the Eagle is my best combo, but the length of the circuit will be my only saving grace from assuming the role of a moving chicane. I'm fearing Goodwood.

By the way, thanks for the info, P.

Ok so the race is this Tuesday? Ooops... still have engone rebuilds to do and body panels to fix! But seriously my mom arrives tonight at 6 (after being delayed because heathrow got closed yesterday) So the chances of me racing on Tuesday are slim to none. Thus I'll nominate the Honda for there. Im pretty sure even if I do race it wont matter much which car I do drive as it will be plowing the infield most of the time.

Looking at the calender I much prefer the 2nd half of the season. Ive not driven 3 of the 1st 5 tracks... oops. So will save the Lotus for later.

1. Spa-Franchorchamps - Honda
2. Goodwood - Eagle
3. Adelaide ’85 - Ferrari
4. Nurburgring - Cooper
5. Cadwell Park - BRM

Yeah, it would be nice for sure

Currently the grid for Spa ain't looking too interesting however, with one Honda, three Lotus' and seven Eagles.

Anyone done any practice then? I've done an InterLong against the AI, actually not to bad. Able to run in the 18s and 19s with relative ease. Not hit the 16s yet though.

I am at least twelve seconds off your pace. Man, I wish I knew how to set up the car.

So that's 8 eagles, 3 loti and 1 honda. I was beginning to think so much for freedom of choice, but then I looked at the choices for goodwood, and thats much better. 2 Hondas, 2 Brabhams, 2 Loti, 2 Ferraris, 2 Eagles, 1 BRM and 1 Cooper.

Two things firstly Spa is no supprise the car we have picked as its a fast circuit and Eagles / Lotus would seem logical. Goodwood on the other hand is tricky so therefore my choice was governed by what crap car should i use .

However be warned i now have my new wheel and pedals so am 1st time out 10 sec slower a lap , so i have a feeling until i get used to them i will be behind Cougar

Yeah, you're probably right

Considering you don't get extra points for winning by a huge margin, it does make sense to use the difficult tracks to use the slower cars. I mean, Spud has a good chance of picking up some decent points at Nurb even in the BRM.

I didn't choose like that (except for goodwood). I chose car/track combos where I had reasonable experience. i.e. Ferrari/Nurb, and Brabham/Cadwell.
I also chose with a view to the second half of the season.

I know I'm not the fastest at Nurby and given the length of the circuit per lap and the variation in times is 10s of seconds rather than just seconds from some of my rivals I thought get the BRM out of the way at that track.

My choice of Cooper for Goodwood is because it is quite a tricky circuit and I'd like a nice handling car. I have more experience there in the Brab, but I'm hedging a bet on the Coop.
