It's a pity there probably (?) won't be any coverage again for the Master Endurance Legends, as that's actually one series I'd love to watch. They are even on the French GP support bill. Even if they are just short sprints, not proper full length races, you don't see old semi-modern ACO cars running together too often.

As one of the first European series' VdeV is starting into the 2018 season this weekend. It appears that the series is in a bit of trouble regarding their GT and CN-fields, though.

Instead of having a separate race for the lightweight prototypes, the CNs will share the track with the LMP3s and GTs in Saturday's 4h of Barcelona.

As it stands right now, there will be 18 LMP3s (13 Ligiers, 5 Normas), 8 CNs (all Norma,3 of them with the new turbo-engines) and 7 GT-cars of some description (1 Ferrari, 1 Lambo, two Renaults, three "Foenix"-silhouettes).

Not really following VdeV but CN grid is small. I think GT is always small.

The Ligier JSP4 since Magny Cours could be a great addition to the grids of VdeV.

Meh, slower, heavier and more expensive than a CN. Not particularly excited.

More bad news from France: VdeV had to cancel this weekend's CN race at Magny-Cours.

And with only six GTs of any definition (1x Lambo, 1x Ferrari, 2x Renault RS 01 2x Foenix) on the grid, they're really on their way to becoming a French LMP3-Cup.

Naw, they had around 20, sometimes 30 cars in the GT/Tourisme division before the introduction of LMP3...

Only one instead of two cars in LMP3-Cup this weekend. And it's 5.5 seconds slower than the LMP3s in first practise:
