21 points was a decent margin even under the old points scheme, and that's the lead Red Bull Autotechnica have managed to pull in the first round of 2007. For comparison the next-largest gap between any two teams is 8 points.

Winning isn't everything here (it's actually 95% of everything ), and the two following awards recognise outstanding efforts in individual rounds - either in forward or reverse.

Aside from the very bullish team at the top, the field is quite condensed heading into the second round at Barbagallo. Maybe we've finally cracked this p****y thing!

The Battle of the Mods returns this year, and Pinnacle Motorsport have stunned everyone by not being 73rd - in fact they're 13th, which I think is the highest they've ever been. No doubt Marcus will correct me if I'm wrong . CelciusSport were left red faced after repeatedly calling for officials to blue-flag the Pinnacle cars, but both were grateful to Antrodemus the Half-Mod for giving them someone to beat.

Brendon Engineering score first podium and the champagne was spayed.
, Brendon Engineering have scored there fist podium and it is at the first round of their 2nd full season. After a dismal year of only one top ten in 2006 the team was out to prove their worth in 2007 and show themselves as a force and so far it looks good and they seem to be on track to do so. The only real glitches of the weekend was Jack Perkins breaking his glasses and having an engine glich and Greg Murphy's miss-fire both in the 2nd race. at a press conference today with a massive hangover and no sleep Team Owner/Principal Brendon said "i could handle this life being on the podium, spraying champagne and having a long night of celebrations with my mates at the team. It was a great weekend and we came away unscathed, we fell we have finally made our place in the championship and we hope to stay there. We feel we would have been slightly better off if Murph's engine didn't develop a miss-fire when he was on for points but thats the way the cookie crumbles, and Jacks glich in the engine was a weird one, but we at the team feel sorry for former driver Paul Dumbrell after he collected Jack when the problem developed and he was issued a drive-thru for the incident when he was an innocent bystander. But it feels great to be on the podium for the first time and i don't plan on leaving anytime soon, bring on Barbargallo."

it sucks when you end in the 40's at your home race you need Uncle Tom to join your team and make it like HRT/Toll HSVDT, but you won't want the ownership troubles.

the part i was stunned at is there isn't as many liveries this year.
