Seam welding OK, unless someone’s changed the rules recently!

Yes, you can fill in hole in the boot floor, if that’s what you’re suggesting? Why not use riveted alloy sheet and strengthening / support ribs if needed for the tank?

Same who changed the title and may be his avatar… Markymar may be you've better load and read appendix K, its for free and its the basis. If any doubt, you can ask here and to an official scrutineer belonging to what was your MSA. Is it Motuk, Mike?

Hi All. We are slowly getting there with getting the bodywork back into some form that actually looks like a car lol. I am going through the regs and i do apologise if some of the questions sound stupid, however, this is all very new lol. I just appreciate the help.

thanks Mark

Fuel tank must be in original location and to the homologated capacity, same for the battery in terms of location.

Many thanks for that. I have managed to obtain a suitable fuel tank so this part should be okay. Slowly all the metal work is getting there. I promise to get some pics up soon.

thanks Mark

Interesting, do you mean homologated capacity or the capacity permitted for racing in period?

Homologated cars run on homologated capacity and homologated location which was capped by Appendix J of the period anyway. As an example you can find that some cars were homologated with the maximum number on the form but reality was that that the standard fuel tank was smaller than the figure, still it permitted to fit the right capacity tank if required providing the location was respected.

On the non-homologated car, the capacity is capped by the Appendix J and location is "as it was, so it should be".
